I don't think any thinking was involved. They just acquired trade pieces without any concern for fit, like a bizarro world fantasy draft.

If the plan is to get bad and use Poole and Kuz for more assets, it’s not a bad plan. They have some intriguing role guys in Kispert, Avidja, Gafford, Tyus Jones, and Delon Wright.

I’m wondering what Wright would cost. Would like him as a Sixers back up.

Refs tried their hardest to ruin a very competitive game. Didn't really impact the outcome luckily (maybe with the odd ejection of D-Lo?), but it made for a terrible game flow. It seemed like everyone should be in foul trouble, but so many of the whistles were for techs that nobody was really in trouble (other than from a 2nd tech).

Lakers need another healthy body or two. They started the game with an 8 player rotation and finished with 6. Not sure why they aren't activating Hodge or Castleton, at least in case of emergency (like D-Lo's ejection and AD's hip spasms).

Looks like they found a nice mix around Luka. I think it’s Luka’s turn for MVP this year. (Thought that going into last year too in full disclosure).

Both of these back-to-back games… Luka & Kyrie were terrific together in the 4th Q feeding each other and setting each other up for open looks. Down 15 in the 2nd Q of both games and came back to win comfortably. Rebounding is still an issue but that was a very improved Orlando team last night.

He has risen every year dramatically. It’s crazy to project that kind of rise every year preseason. At some point, the sponge is saturated. Glad we haven’t reached that saturation point yet. Dude is even rebounding.
