I wish they would change the rule 5 to an age limit as well for some situations.
No reason guys like Acuna should be that rushed to being put on the 40 man. He’s only 20 years old. They should make it to where the player has to be 22+ years old to even be eligible.
The purpose of it is to not hamper good players careers by stashing them in the minors for too long way past the time they should have been promoted. In these cases it just rushes these young guys and makes it harder on them

I wouldn’t mind it.
Lowe really is that terrible at 1B defense.
Hosmer doesn’t have that 30 HR power but he’s still above avg with the bat according to OPS+

Brantley is safer choice but think he wants a multi year deal. We might stand pat vs looking for a bounce back year.
I really do r want 3 more years of Brantley. Rather spend on a reliever
