I wouldn't doubt the Patriots for a second but I'm hoping Seattle can pull it off. I just like great defenses and would love for us to have one soon. So Seattle is my pick 31-28. If you could choose just one free agent from either team who would it be? Safety Devin McCourty is great and I think people are sleeping on guard James Carpenter. But if I had to choose just one it would be corner back Byron Maxwell all day. Gimme the Seahawks and gimme Byron Maxwell!

I'll go safe and boring, just like this game is going to be. Seahawks win 27-13. Lynch runs for 148 yards and owns the second half. Gets the MVP.

I dislike both teams so this is a horrible SB but I absolutely dispise NE so I would prefer Seattle wins but if I'm plunking down cash I feel the Cheaters will win by 5+; 28-23. Yuk!

Maxwell, of course, but we really also need McCourty; Wisniewski; and Worilds.

Seahawks have become my favorite alternate team to root for (Ravens are 3rd). I liken Chip to Carroll.

I hope the Pats win. Id love to see a loss in the SB totally destroy the Hawks from within. If Hawks win, they will surely look like a dynasty in the making. Not good since they are in our conference.

My prediction:

The officiating will be something to keep an eye on with all this deflate gate stuff going on though. The NFL may not want the Pats winning & then having a huge backlash for cheating.

Gonna be interesting to say the least. Should be a much closer game than last year because the Pats can actually run the ball & the Hawks secondary is banged up.

Without a deeper review I would agree with Old Duke. Maxwell for sure.

Maxwell or Revis would be ideal #1 targets.
McCourty wont go anywhere. Much likely target is a guy like A.Rolle from NYG. aging bridge vet.

Maxwell or Revis & Rolle is about as much as we could ask plus the re-signing of our own guys like Maclin, Cox & Kendricks.

Iupati or Wiz would be awesome but I dont see us doing that. We'll probably load up on OL in draft.
OLB Worilds would be overkill with Smith already drafted in rd. 1. Id look for a mid round pick there.
ILB should be a high priority in the draft as well.

I think after we make a few upgrades in our D, we'll be a lot like your Seahawks, except we have a better O.

That's exactly what I would have done. When Carroll said that the Pats loaded up their goal line D, then have Wilson roll out. Darrel Beavell blew the call.
