T.J. Warren (3-5 from the field in the first half, 6 points, and 5 rebounds, 4 offensive, in 4:41 of action) seems like a smaller, less athletic version of Cedric Ceballos. He is an opportunistic scorer who knows how to move without the ball, work the baseline, and surprise on the offensive glass.

By the way, Ceballos' first career game versus the Nuggets? 32 points on 12-15 field goal shooting in 23 minutes.

Bledsoe and Knight constitute the fastest back-court in the league, but maybe the worst passing one, too. Bledsoe has made some improvements this season, but he still might throw any given pass out of bounds.

... worst passing might have been an overstatement, as Knight is a better passer than many shooting guards. Still, Bledsoe has now thrown three balls out of bounds so far—as many balls thrown out of bounds as assists.

Frankly, Dragic and Thomas were not much better in that regard.

Why aren't we playing Thornton ever?

Those minutes are going to Goodwin and Warren, aiding their development. Thornton is a good three-point shooter, but I guess that his role will just be that of veteran roster filler.

... terrible game to watch, just sloppy all the way around. But at least the Suns broke their losing streak.

Yeah the Suns have become one of the most exciting teams to watch to boring as shit. Congrats on getting draft picks for all of our trades. We all know how good Suns draft picks turn out...

The new regime has drafted well. The thing with draft picks, too, is that they give you assets that can facilitate deals.

The Chicago game on Saturday night was really good. The problem now is that the Suns are working a number of new players into their rotation, and this team especially needs time to gel because there is no outstanding passer on the roster. On some of the Phoenix teams from yesteryear, there were multiple outstanding passers. So there is a certain lack of crispness right now.

... 65 rebounds tonight, the first time that the Suns have reached that figure since they grabbed 67 versus Dallas on February 17, 1998.

Phoenix Suns at Dallas Mavericks Box Score, February 17, 1998 | Basketball-Reference.com

02/17/1998 NBA Box Score at DAL - basketballreference.com

(The Suns out-rebounded the Mavericks 67-29! Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, and Kevin Johnson all recorded more rebounds than assists, which is odd.)

Tonight's result is all the more ironic because rebounding constitutes one of the current Suns' biggest weaknesses.
