So Bryce Young is projected as a top 10 pick and Bennett is projected as a mid to late round pick.

Bennett threw for more yards, better completion %, better ypc, more threat to run, and led his team to 2 titles. But he was knocked for his size.

Now we find he is also taller than Young, what gives??

Media hates him for winning the title in consecutive years. Ohio State was supposed to win and Bennett was the hero,

Typical response from a UGA homer.
Tell me why Young is better? I posted factual info in the OP, give me facts.

Young is more mobile, can head to a top 5 draft team and make the team better.

Bennett has to have a team built already for him because slower mobility

Bennett is also going to be 26 during his rookie year. So even if he turns out to be some kind of decent/above average starter in the NFL, you get 3 years of him before he starts regressing due to his age.

I was intrigued by some of your claims and was curious so I looked them up. Turned out they were just wrong.

We'll just look at their 2 years as starters for a more accurate sample of counting stats.

Young in 2 years as a starter
8200 yards
79 touchdowns
12 interceptions
66% completion percentage

Bennett in 2 years as a starter:
6990 yards (less than Young)
56 touchdowns (less than Young)
14 interceptions (more than Young)
67% completion percentage (one higher than Young on 185 less attempts)

Sure I'll give you the better threat to run, but Bennett is more like JimmyG with his legs than Lamar or FIelds.

And how high was AJ McCarron drafted despite winning back to back national titles?

I only included the most recent season as Bennett did not start several games the previous season.

Young is no way more mobile.

Bennett is the youngest old man I've ever seen. He's gotta be 40+.

Officially he's the same age as Joe Burrow. Burrow was in college for 5 years, so he was already above average age as a rookie. Now he's also got 3 probowls under his belt. And Bennett is still running 40s at his pro day.

We already saw this play out. It’s called Brandon Weedon. God bless Bennett for maximizing his abilities but he’s AJ McCarron as his ceiling in the NFL.

To be fair college stats aren't listed as who started so I was just going based off of games played but that's a fair addition to this. Either way, I don't think Bennett is nearly the player Young is and the people who know way more than us aren't usually that far off

Lamar Jackson won an MVP in 2019, he's 26. In 2019, Stetson Bennett was a "sophomore" at Georgia with less than 30 pass attempts

It's easier to look better playing against younger kids, but that won't be the case in the NFL. If he couldn't play UP as a 20-21-22 year old it's hard to say he can now as a 26 year old.

Some guys slip through the cracks, some guys mature late, but it's risky. Too much risk for a 1st rounder or even a 2nd.
