NHL Now: Here's a list of players that were injured or banged up for Tampa... (Shows graphic listing players and injuries. Proceeds to discuss how hard it is to play with injuries.)

Also NHL Now: "And I'm sure Colorado had some banged up players too... Tampa was banged up as a team going into the Stanley Cup Finals"

Of course they couldn't bother themselves with researching the list of players that were banged up for Colorado (Kadri, Cogliano, Burakovsky, Kuemper, just to name a few off the top of my head). The jist of the segment was to offer a possible reason TB lost.

The sports press were not giving Colorado much credit at all until they won game 6 in Tampa. Most picked TB to win, a lot were saying how TB was so much better than the other teams Colorado beat in the playoffs; Colorado didn't face a REAL goalie until TB..... Yada yada yada.

Makes winning it all so much sweeter!

With their victory in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Avalanche join the NCAA National Champion Denver Pioneers and the High School National Champion East Denver HS Angels as hockey champions from the city of Denver in 2022.
