Not quite as good as the last one. I was there in the arena in 2012. Had to watch this one from home due to the surgery on Wednesday and restrictions from traveling until next week. It's OK. The daughter got to use the ticket so my seat was filled by a huge Kings fan.

The part about the NHL I absolutely love. they give the trophy first to the players who earned it. Exactly how it should be!

What an unbelievable run to their second Cup. The first one was a run we're not likely to ever see again by any team but this year's run was just one comeback after another. To be down 0-3 to the Sharks and come back to win that series, then to let the Ducks come back to force a Game 7 when you had them 3-1 and win that series, to have to win another Game 7 to beat the defending Stanley Cup Champions and finally to get behind in all but one game in the Stanley Cup Final and beat the Eastern Conference Champs to win their second Cup in three years. Just a great run by a great team.

Just to add they never had any excuses for any of their losses (and there were 10 of them) unlike a certain team from New York City that blamed every loss on "puck luck" or bad bounces. Never said anything like they just had to be better as the Champion Kings did. Even in their post-game interviews after tonight's game they couldn't admit they just didn't play good enough. The one I just watched was "we played with them and could have won but we just didn't get the bounces". That kind of attitude will always lead to defeat to a better team.

Well, that pretty much sucked. Lundqvist did his best. But the Rangers knew that overtimes would bite them eventually.

Kings got stronger as games went on. Rangers had better starts but except game 3 Kings had better late periods. Don't know if it team depth or size

Justin Williams has now sealed his legacy as one of the greatest clutch players in NHL history. Props to him, deserves the credit.

I think it was just plain stamina and maybe conditioning. I'm sure the size advantage helped also. That plus the coast-to-coast travel didn't affect them at all whereas the Rangers didn't have very good starts to either Game 3 or Game 5. That's an advantage West Coast teams have during the Stanley Cup Final over the East Coast teams that very seldom travel outside the Eastern Time Zone even during the playoffs. The Kings made trips outside the Pacific Time Zone numerous times during the year and even during the Conference Final they had to go 2 time zones.
