It's not only the New York audience they're looking to appease to be fair to NBC. They want the entire East Coast audience. Many more hockey fans in the Eastern time zone than in the Pacific. No more loyal or emphatic just more of them to give NBC better ratings. Which is afterall what they are looking for. Without big ratings they can't sell ads. It isn't about appeasing hockey fans it's about money for them.

Yeah he did dive a little but that's still a stupid play by Doughty. You're on the power play. Just move your feet and get back on defense. Next time don't give up the puck so easily.

I agree, but should have been called both ways or not at all imo.

Diving is getting really bad in the league. Kings aren't saints but they need to start doing something because its getting really out of hand.

It was a big topic of discussion at the GM meetings. I agree hopefully the league tries to do something to curtail it. Not quite as bad as soccer yet but it's getting close.
