If he lifts that ball he hit hard to center field in the AB after for a HR? His OPS would have been over .800, OBP at .350, and average near .250. Also played an excellent defensive game.

Would have given him one of the best triple slash lines among catchers in baseball. Curious if he would have suddenly be improved in your eyes off of that one game and now 19 game sample size.

Wilson Contreras is hitting .215. Your favorite stat. Clearly, he is trash.

He's always been the best glove in the organization - well until Robert showed up that is. So he makes for an excellent 4th OFer. In fact, I'd go as far as saying he should now platoon with Mazara in RF or until Mazara proves he can be an everyday player.

I absolutely agree that he should be platooning with Mazara. Mazara's AB's have gotten a little better over the past week or so. However, if he's not hitting the ball out of the ball park, there's no point to him. That's the only purpose of Nomar Mazara. If we're going to play a singles/doubles hitter? Might as well play Adam Engel and get an elite glove + elite speed while we're at it. Not to mention, getting those singles/doubles at a higher rate.
