I'd like to see someone walk a tightrope over a football stadium during a game.

I saw one of the Wallendas do it over Atlanta-Fulton county stadium when I was a kid. No net, no tether. Guy didn't even waver, he just walked it like a Sunday afternoon walk in the park.

I heard today that for his next stunt, he wants to walk a wire that is strung from the Chrysler building all the way to the Empire State building. I've only been to NYC once but that's like really fucking far.

so what is more difficult? The distance of the walk? Or the height?

Example: Is it more difficult to walk on a wire down say from Canal street in NYC all the way down 6th street on a wire that is say, 800 feet up (so if you fall surely you die)

OR

walk across a cable that is only about 100 yards long and say 3,000 feet up in the air.

It would depend on a lot of factors, all of which Wallenda takes into account before he walks the line.

How steep is the angle? Is it a straight walk? The line can be loosened a little to make the walk easier if there is an angle.

How hard is the wind blowing and what direction is it coming from? Of course if it is blowing too hard the walk gets postponed. Wind direction is very important and so is the speed, even if it is only 2 or 3 mph.

I don't think the height matters; Wallenda isn't afraid of heights. To have walked across the gorge is a feat that might never get repeated. He took a huge chance on an unexpected wind blowing him off or upsetting his balance.

The thickness of the cable and what it is made of matters a lot. There are an awful lot of factors to consider. We aren't talking about fixing a car here; one false move and you DIE!

So the show is about a man and a woman naked surviving in a jungle for 20 days? I tuned in last minute. The girl was fairly rough but if I'm naked and she's naked, and its been 20 days, I mean I'm at least getting the tip in even if by accident.

When the fuck did this go back to the high wire shit... We moved on and converted this shit to the naked survival thread! You guise don't read do you?!

The new "Naked and Afraid" comes on tonight @ 10 est. Anyone gonna watch?
