Brees owes the refs a steak dinner. He knows in his heart he fumbled that ball, and the officials bailed him out of costing his team the game. The 49ers owe the League office a letter and formal protest. I'd actually love to start seeing teams threatening not to play the next week unless the league actually starts to do something about all the bad calls thanks to these flag football rule changes.

I'm sure once money and profits start getting involved the league would start to think twice.

what we have learned from the New York Giants is just get on a roll before playoffs and it doesn't matter how terrible you look before you get hot. Hopefully Crabtree comes back next week and we can start some momentum building before the playoffs.

Offense is way way way too conservative. Announcers were on it the whole game. They were constantly talking how about on first down, the D was giving them a chance to take a shot. About 5 times in a row they run Gore up the gut for a total of about 2.5 yards. Then, finally, a play action pass on 1st down, for what, a bomb to Vernon? No, a 1 yard swing pass to Miller. That will DC's on other teams asleep at night. LOL.

How Roman still has a job with offensive numbers like that I will never know. If any of us failed like this repetitively at our job we would no longer work there.

At this point we cant change the play makers but we can change up the play callers. No other team would accept this type of performance week in week out.

But we had a way-cool motion movement on one of our run plays today. And Frank average about 6 inches on all those first down up the gut runs.

I agree completely. This coaching staff doesn't seem to understand NFL passing or receivers. Something needs to change.

Then Mangini should be fired. The offense is terrible, and those were hands-down the worst two challenges I have seen. Neither one was even a question. Didn't even have to see the replays.

Roman has done a poor job but he does have the league's worst group of wide receivers, the league's worst QB and a pourous offensive line. Tough to win consistently with that.
