This guy is putting up potential NCAA record numbers.

Oregon State's QB is throwing the ball around like I have never seen in the PAC. Reminds me of what Sam Bradford did at Oklahoma. Not saying he is a top NFL pick like Bradford, but he has worked his way into position for winning some awards.

He has a shot at the College Football record for TD passes in a season of 58 by Hawaii's Colt Brennan.

Most likely he will fall short as competition steps up. He has 25 TDs through 6 games. With 7 games remaining he is pacing around 55.

Right now he also has 2511 passing yards as well. Texas Tech's BJ Simmons had 5,833 in 2003. This record is in danger and could be the one that falls.

Considering OSU will not run the ball much the rest of the year because well frankly they cant run the ball, this season will be a historic one for the PAC 12 and Mannion.

Sean Mannion 2013 Statistics

194-289 67.1%
2,511 yards
25 TDs 3 INTs

Oregon State plays a terrible Cal defense next week.

Look for Mannion to go for 600 passing yards.

Mannions looking fantastic. If not for the EWU loss they would be top 15 right now.

Personally I don't think the EWU loss was so terrible considering they are an FCS powerhouse, but oh well. Bad loss is bad loss and it was at Reser.

Will have to see how he does with a much tougher 2nd half of the season. I think he's going to look good the rest of the way.

You are right. They slipped up and if they hadnt, this story would be even bigger than it is.

We are watching something special with that offense.

Him and WR Brandin Cooks are threatening QB to WR records for a season as well.

OSU Coooks WR has 944 receiving yards and 11 TDs so far.:omg:

Nevada's Trevor Insley had 2,060 in 1999. Cooks is pacing just above that number.

He's having a hell of a year. Im glad our secondary is good and they can't run the ball.

Thank God. I think he will light Stanford up. I wouldnt feel comfortable at all If I were a Cardinal fan in that game.

Good read Mamba...

Cooks is the key, guy will break ALL receiving records @ State no matter who is at QB. Mannion is doing this all the while OSU's O-line is nothing more than a patch work of lineman, has a lot to say about OC Langendorf. Keep in mind THIS is why OSU can't run the ball. But look at each of the games and the stats are trending upwards, ever so slighty. Beavers have other ways of tormenting D's that pin their ears back and rush up field trying to catch Mannion.

Riley is a Master @ the screen pass game and if you pay attention (Wazzy Gazoo) watch the 2nd halfer of last weeks game as the Beavers torched Wassou using the screens.

Woods is back and so is the fly sweep.

Mannion? He just continues to toss the rwak around the yard as usual, the INT's are just a by-product of such. Right wazzy gazoo? HA!

He might have a shot at Brennan's record. He did that as a junior. Hawai'i that year had two RBs who got drafted in the NFL (one at FB). Their leading rusher had 992 yards and missed a game or two. This OSU team can't run worth a lick. So Mannion is forced to throw more and will be as competition steps up.

Mannion destroyed UCLA last year. I wasn't even disappointed with that loss because OSU outplayed UCLA because of him. He is legit and thought the turning point of their season last year was him going down. Not sure why there was even a QB controversy lat year and especially this year. CV isn't as good as Mannion.

There are 6 games in meaning they will have 6 games left given the same production against much better opponents he is still 811 yds short of BJ Simmons.

OSU Coooks WR has 944 receiving yards and 11 TDs so far.

Nevada's Trevor Insley had 2,060 in 1999. Cooks is pacing just above that number.

Same issue here Cooks is not pacing above that he his pacing below that 944 times 2 is not over 2060 it is 1888. I'm beginning to think you cannot do math...

We are watching something special with that offense.

Not really, you can look at yards per attempt or yards per play and note that their offense is not anywhere close to spectacular. Mannion has tons of attempts and is playing well, several QB's would have much more yardage if they were given as many attempts.

Their top RB is behind 215 other RB's for number of rushing attempts, I think I know where those plays are going, right into passing attempts for their QB. Numbers are trending up because OSU just played Colorado and Washington two horrible defenses back to back.

4 of the top 6 QBs in passing yards are from the Pac 12.

What is Mannion's classification? I know he played some last year, then had an injury.

I watched him some the other night, and he can sling that ball.
