Yeah but you could think of it as lose a 3rd round pick this year and potentially get a first if somebody signs him next offseason.

That's true as well. But the same could be done if we sign him for two years and he becomes a FA after the 2015 season.

I'm just not sold on Tejada as the everyday SS, just not a fan of him at all.

And right now the market seems to be shrinking for Drew, looks like just us and the Sox are the only suitors. Sandy plays it well, but doesn't drag it out, think Drew may come here.

Also do believe we can compete in 2014, we made 3 pretty good moves thus far to help the roster. Add another SP to the mix and move Duda for a bullpen arm, we will be fine.
