Salo update

Gillis on team1040 says he is due to start skating with the team the 3rd week of january ... Botchford speculating he will be back in the lineup after the trade deadline (Feb 28) ... Gillis wants to make it work with both Bieksa & Salo in the lineup (so he says)

I suspected this would happen. I think if desperate Salo would be in the lineup alot earlier. he wants to save cap space and will prolong it a very long time.

there was some update in a game thread on the main board, might as well put it here, too

Gillis says the only challenge of gettign him in the line-up would be after the trade deadline (so presumably he has a plan laid out)
but then goes on to say the Salo is only at about 20% in terms of mobility and strength (so we wouldn't need that plan?) - edit: one of the stories below says he is 20% deficient, but I was rpetty sure that's not the soundbite I saw on SNET.
