apparently it wasn't evident to rv that noesi was tiring in the 7th regardless of pitch count having given up 3 hits. so, bad manager leaves him in to start the 8th. another hit and STILL rv leaves him in! it took yet another hit for it to dawn on rv that noesi had lost it. so a situation was started that shouldn't have happened.
so he brings in putnam who promptly gets two out. and does rv leave a guy with a 2.17 era in to get the last out? hell no! he brings in the worst reliever on the team (6.08). he can't get an out and so cruz comes up and ties the game. ruins noesi's great effort! if they lose this will be yet another game that falls directly at rv's feet. TWO bad rv mistakes that killed this game.
no one destroys more good baseball than rv. i'm sure he believes he went 'by the book' with his lefty righty crap. how the dork, williams and hahn still believe in this clown is totally beyond me.
