if locke is shaky on sunday, do you skip him in the reds series at the end.
since we are off on thurs, we could skip him and pitch morton and cole, both on 4 days normal rest.
or pitch liriano on sun on 3 days rest if we need a lefty against them and the last game means something.

what do you think? i think skipping locke the way morton and cole have pitched is a no brainer unless being a LHP really neutralizes votto, bruce, and shoo. so he has to show it on sunday or he would only be a LHP in the BP for the last reds series in my opinion.

Melancon pitched very well. No one could make a play behind him. He gave them three shots to get that last out, and instead they let three runs score. Mercer's was the most egregious, but I really think Walker should have caught that blooper, or at least extended a little bit for it. And Pedro should have at least knocked that ball down.

However, a loss like tonights, coupled with the last 20yrs of losing makes being a Pirates fan very tough.

I could cry tonight & I am 43yrs old.
