Spring time, or close to it in most parts.

For those of us that wash our own cars...you probably wipe it down too.

Which do you prefer?

I've used both, most recently synthetic, and just replaced it...I went back to the real thing...once you've rinsed out most of residue on a real chamois rag...hard to beat it.

I use one of those Speedo swim towels you see Limpic divers use to towel off with.

Soft synthetic thing, about 2' by 1', comes rolled up in a tube.

I flip it out over the car and drag it back. Positively soaks up the H2O. Very efficient and very soft. Amazing the water it can pick up.

Have and use both... Have been using microfiber more lately just because of the ease of storage and keeping them clean.

You guys would be amazed in the time and effort that I take in cleaning my car. It takes hours. I also cursed myself by buying a black car so after all that effort it gets dirty again fast.

I use a microfiber towel to dry. I don't wipe. I use other microfiber towels to apply the detailing spray. I also have other microfiber towels to clay, polish and wax with...
