Also, pay attention to just how many of our hitters start off at-bats down 0-2. We simply do not get ahead in counts often enough. We miss fastballs right down the gut or foul them off. Throw in another foul ball or a taken strike, and it’s 0-2 again.

Jankowski, flaws and all, is one of our few hitters who works counts. He doesn’t get hits like we need him to, but at least he battles.

Well he is seeing the ball and hitting with power so I for one think it is worth a try. Garcia has quit on us as a clean up man.
