Sorry, but I'm gonna take the liberty of saying, I did my part today for the positive send off. :pound:

Wonderful game, decent crowd, and the temp topped out at 85.

And we got the all important W as the topper of toppers.

What an extremely successful home stand. So far this team is doing what it has to. We'll have to see if it continues.

I wish Miggy was not back yet. Their pitching has been suspect and we need to get to their BP. Verlander has pitched much better lately so he could be tough.

This series should come down to our pitching. The Tigers staff gives up more runs than most, scoring shouldn't be an issue for us. The main thing is can we tame the Tigers lineup?

Right move in a playoff push but I am gonna miss his genuine enthusiasm, hustle and even his patriotism. Hope he makes it back during call ups if he clears and gets a playoff share if we get they far.

the tigers are really rocking the Cubs tonite

Lester has been so inconsistent this year. You would have thought he might have done well in the NL, but he follows a good start with one like tonight, where he's absolute garbage.

Angels, Astros, and Orioles all win..... Don't want to see that trio win on the same day ever again. Consolation prize is that we still gained on the Twinkies, Blue Jays, and Rays.

Very nice outing by Derek. But what's the haircut police gonna say about that design?

Grant: Derek Holland's return marks new look for Rangers in wide-open playoff race | Dallas Morning News

With a fastball in the 92-93 mph range and a slider that was far sharper than is typical of a pitcher’s first start of the season, he smothered the Mariners for the first four innings. He was helped by a willingness to throw strikes early. He threw first-pitch strikes to six of the Mariners’ nine hitters in his first trip through the order. That got them into “swing mode,” as Rangers manager Jeff Banister calls it. And once they were in swing mode, Holland didn’t nibble.

Feliz had another so-so outing last night and his ERA is well over 7.

But Kinsler had 2 hits to raise his average to .305. He also had 2 errors, but he's only got 8 for the year, which is pretty good.

Ian has really done well in Detroit, but we were right. His hr power is a thing of the past. As are his 25+ stolen base seasons. Makes me appreciate those 30/30 seasons.

Very possible: Perez Hamels Lewis Holland is starting to give teams indigestion.

Did you happen to hear the interview with Colby yesterday? The subject of "longer term contract" was approached.

He flat out stated, again, he wants to stay right here. But he stopped short of saying he "wouldn't respond to a multi-year" contract offer though.

I've got my ideas on what we should do going forward. Batted ideas around with some fans yesterday in the stands. And I'd like to hear from some of you guys on how much/how long for Colby?

I'm fine with two yr. At his age any more could be stretching a little.

Me, my buddy, and a few strangers-in-the-stands seemed to have run the gambit on it yesterday. ha ha ha

However, you and I are pretty close. I think my mind set is this, without nailing anything to the wall, unless someone else out there does something insane (3 years at $22-24 mil), you're going nowhere. You want to be here, we want ya here, and we also know you have more than delivered for us.

Would 2 years at $15 mil too much for you to swallow?
