Hey guys: Check this out. An article on our latest "freak" at O-line and a new recruit for Paul Boudreau to work his magic!!

There haven’t been many 6-foot-10 players in NFL history, but the St. Louis Rams are hoping their latest acquisition will stick around.
The Rams signed a behemoth offensive tackle on Tuesday, Ole Miss’ Terrell Brown. Brown is 6-foot-10, 388 pounds, but played sparingly with the Rebels during his three-year Ole Miss career. Brown played just two games in 2012 at offensive tackle and eight games in 2011 as a defensive tackle.

The tallest player in NFL history is Richard Sligh, a 7-foot defensive tackle for the Raiders in 1967. The tallest current NFL player is 6-foot-9 Jared Gaither, who played for the Chargers in 2012 but is currently a free agent.

Brown’s pro day measurables are nowhere near as impressive as Gaither’s were coming out of Maryland, though. Brown ran a 5.77-second 40-yard dash with a 5.44-second 20-yard shuttle and 8.93-second three-cone drill. Gaither ran the 40 in 4.98 seconds and had a 4.49-second 20-yard shuttle and 7.12-second three-cone time.

Brown may benefit from the proposed partnership between the WWE and NFL to funnel football players into pro wrestling’s developmental system. There are far more 6-foot-10 wrestlers than NFL players.
Brown’s most notable highlight at Ole Miss wasn’t on the field at all. It was on the sidelines when he sat down and crushed a plastic folding chair. Check it out in all of its slow-motion glory below.

Interesting retro, sounds like a nice addition to the PS and maybe develope as a RT. If anyone can turn a lineman into something it is Paul. He is huge.

Yea Blue. Along with Nyseke at 6'8 and Barksdale at 6'7, we have some pretty good developmental players at tackle that I know Boudreau has a hand in selecting. We shall see how these guys fair and develop. Along with Jake Long at 6'5, we are slowly putting together a huge O-line!

Heck if he sticks, I'd like to see CJF give him a try on ST at DL for those long FG attempt situations!

Vita - Definitely. It's also possible on long field goal attempts by our opponents to put him in front of the field goal posts to swat down a long range attempt that just might clear the crossbar!

That's right Vita. Our 21st version of Ted "The Stork" Hendricks. I am sure he could be coached on how to block extra points, FG's and maybe even punts.

LOL, that's too good RamCub, if that's the case we should put Tavon Austin back there and when he swats them, Tavon can run 'em back for 6!

LOL this is too much fun, good going retro!

Thanks Vita. I'd like to see this guy lose a few pounds (which has been previously stated) and get into the game as a STer. Man we could use his size just about everywhere and I like that scenario with Mr Afterburner catching a swatted rebound. Do they keep rebound stats for NFL players?? This guy may start a new category.

Hey if Fisher has Hekker, who has QB in his background, throwing and running fake punts, it is entirely conceivable to have Terrell blocking long-distance field goals!!!

Hell put him in the backfield on short yardage or goal line. Worked for Ditka. Stop this!

Fisher thinks of everything and is known for consistently having one of the best prepared teams in the NFL. Witness the "Music City Miracle" and the great second half the Titans had in their Super Bowl loss to the Rams on the last play of the game.

The Letterman "Top Ten" reasons Brown makes the Ram's 53 man squad:

10) Commercial flights are out.

9) Tavon Austin needs a bodyguard to protect him from his "cousins".

8) He looks good coming off the bus.

7) Brown tosses the referee during the coin toss to even the odds.

6) Somebody has to shake Jim Harbaugh's hand after the Rams defeat SF twice.

5) His middle name is Wonderlic.

4) He handles the restructuring of opposing players' MRI results.

3) The Rams don't have to lift because the weight room is his locker.

2) Sammy gets to introduce him before games to opposing defenses in his best Tony Montero impersonation: "Say hello to my little friend".

1) You tell him he didn't make the team.

If this was hockey he'd no doubt be a 4th liner. Get him on the ice and bash some heads. Too bad they don't allow fights in football.

Thanks Hammer Down. That is one badass big dude!!! He reminds me of another big badass Brown who was huge for his time and that was Big Bob Brown who played for the Eagles, Rams, and Raiders. At the time, Big Bob Brown was 6'4, 290lbs and was huge for his era at right tackle.

This Bigdude Terrell Brown is a full 6" taller and nearly a 100lbs heavier. This guy is a keeper!!! And they are grooming him for right tackle. I guess if Rodger Saffold wants to cry like a baby they have a new replacement!!!
