Who will have the best 2016 season? Not fantasy just general value, so the fact that Hundley plays at Coors isn't important for instance.

Saunders... by a lot. Only way it's not him would be due to injury, imo.

Iannetta. He's had the most consistent past three years which is probably the best sign for continued success

They're all close, but I found something funny with this group. When you look at individual WAR's of their 2013-2015 season, each player has a WAR that is in the top 4, each player is in the middle 4, and obviously every player is in the last 4

Ianetta is a very good defensive catcher who gets on base with some power but has a terrible BA and doesn't play often anymore especially now that he is old. He is a great backup catcher but he just doesn't play enough.

I think I would still go Saunders, fantasy or not. As long as he is healthy he will play. And he is good enough to produce. His problem has always been staying on the field, but compared to 2 catchers he is going to play a similar amount of games anyway.

Mauer would be number one if he was still a catcher, but at first base he is ONLY an on base guy and he needs to be much more.

I think you guys are underestimating how hard it is to find catchers.

That being said, I still came up with the same answer that you guys did (Saunders).
