Looks like the boys are dressing close to a full lineup tonight

Schenn.Giroux.Voracek
Raffl.Lecavalier.Umberger
Read.Couturier.Jones
Rinaldo.Bellemare.Akeson

Coburn.MacDonald
Streit.Grossmann
MDZ.Schenn

Mason
Zepp (I think - Just giving Emery the night off since he played Tuesday)

Simmonds is out with a lower body injury, but it sounds like he still plans to go to Cape Cod this weekend to practice, so I don't think its much of an injury, probably just sore.

Go Flyers.

i'm kind of hoping they at least keep morin around for a 9 game trial. wouldn't be opposed to him getting a taste of the NHL then knowing what he has to work on when he heads back to juniors. but honestly, as much as hexy preaches patience, morin doesn't look out of place in the NHL and i would not at ALL be against straight up keeping him for the season. one or two defensemen go down and suddenly having morin is an asset. although i would only keep him around if he's gonna be playing more than like 15 minutes a night.

I think what you see is Sam Morin play 9 games, go back to juniors and then an injury happens in December possibly and Ghost gets the call

The announcer on the cable package I am watching just stated that he thinks the Flyers can go further in the playoffs this year than last. We shall see.

Akeson comes right back. Flyers 2-1. Rinaldo did the work and that was the fourth line.

These Flyers power plays remind me of the Red Wings. One or two passes and then a shot with lots of shots on goal the focus.

The MacDonald / Coburn pair scares me a lot.

4th line generates both goals.

Thought the PP looked awesome even though it didn't score.

Great play by Rinaldo on akeson's goal. Nice move by akey too.

Morin should be in juniors this year. He 'hasnt looked out of place' in his handful of games, but he's also played quite a few against less than nhl opponents. And he's still made some bone headed plays and penalties. I really like him, thought he played very well overall, but of you're not blowing people away, there's no reason to keep him up imo. We preach patience on here all the time, perhaps the organization can't be patient because the fans can't? Let's do it right. Let them develop.

I'm 50/50 on Morin. It's tough in today's NHL and the Flyers are tight on the cap. Morin will be better than Grossmann by years end plus he's injury prone but I wouldn't sacrifice Schenn to keep him. A lot of first round players play within 2 years if they're physically ready that's the key. Very hard decision I'd only do it if Grossmann could be moved for something decent otherwise they will have to find another way. Maybe we can trade Mcdonald and Grossmann for a stud dman....one can dream haha! I'm actually ok going into the season as is just thinking out loud....

Maybe awaz has it right. Send Morin down and let him develop and if he gets things right earlier than expected, move Grossmann then. Definitely keep Schenn though.

If they send him to juniors then he can't come up this season, so regardless of if he gets it right or not, they can't bring him back up
