Preds to part ways with Francis Bouillon & Jordin Tootoo

General manager David Poille is ready to feature Ryan Ellis on the blueline full-time next season, and because he's a bit small in stature at 5-foot-10, the GM wants to add more size on the back end. Bouilon is 5-foot-8. "If all things are equal we'd like to get a little bit bigger on the blueline if we're going to play Ellis in a regular position there," Poile said. "That's the process with not bringing Frankie back."

Tootoo will not receive an offer from the Predators and as a result he will hit the unrestricted free agent market on July 1. Tootoo is a solid bottom-six defenseman that's capable of chipping in a bit offensively. He had 30 points and 92 penalty minutes in 77 games in 2011-12.

Gonna miss Tootoo and Frankie. Bouillon was small, but he wouldn't back down to anybody, wish them the best.
