Man, I would love to see Jeff Halpern come back to the Capitals, but it's not gonna happen and he's not really a 2nd line center. Maybe for the Panthers... not the Caps.

Looks like early indications are that the 2nd line spot is Flash's to lose. He had 2 goals, an assist, and won 6 of 10 faceoffs in the first preseason game. Doesn't mean a ton... but it seems like they are giving him the green light at least for the early part of the season.

That would mean the 3rd line is likely Perreault or Johansson. Glad to hear Mathieu added 10 lbs. in the offseason.
