Phillips was busy giving Byrd a hard time about not lifting his sixth inning double a few inches higher, but then El Toro wiped that smirk right off his face a few pitches later when he sent a laser of a home run to right field for the 4-1 lead, and that put a fork in them.

Hurdle may have to seriously consider pitching AJ again on Tuesday night. He is dominating right now, and the knuckle curve is all but unhittable of late.

i was just saying to my wife that mccarver has been announcing since i was teenager with the mets(where i lived at the time) and i didnt like him then (that was 30 + years ago) and he is bumbling so much today.

is he the best they have to put on their prime game.
