Series Thread: Pirates at Brewers

The Bucs are playing better of late, but now they get back on the road where they have been terrible in this young season (4-10), and they're playing a very solid Brewers team who give them trouble even when they're not a very good Brewers team.

In any case, today's pitching matchup between Cole and Estrada should be solid.

Seems like a good litmus test, terrible matchup against the Brewers in the House of Horrors. Honestly, not very confident going in.

Brewers might be without their 1,3, and 4 hitters. I believe Gomez is serving his 3 day suspension, Braun may or may not play and Ramirez is still out.

Now they are saying Braun and Gomez will play. I guess that Gomez was questionable from getting hit by a pitch. Evidently his suspension doesn't start tonite. Wonder when it does?

Cole had horrible luck today. The Segura double was about the only hard hit ball he allowed. I really think Mercer needs to make that play, though, on the Weekes infield hit.

After watching that Penguin game nothing is like salt on the wound more than the Brewers beating the Pirates.

Well he did hit Gomez, but it was by accident with a changeup, could be part of it.

Truth, never seen such a thing in baseball as the Pirates ineptitude against the Brewers. Really doesn't make any sense.

Yep Gallardo vs Wandy = Pirates Loss. I am just amazed it is still 1-0!

Unexpected HR from Tony, will take it though, he's a much better hitter than he has shown this year.

Gaby smoked that ball. What a backhand pick that was by Reynolds. Holy cow. And a strong, accurate throw to start the double play, too.

Off his bat, I thought for sure Gaby had at least an RBI single with a chance at a double. It turned instead into two outs.

Also, Wilson was dominant in his two innings of work. Goodness.
