F-1 returns to the US for the third time in this 2023 season for the Las Vegas Grand Prix on the week-end of November 16, 2033. This circuit will be brand new for everyone. It is basically a square box street circuit downtown Las Vegas. Fifty laps with a total distance if 6.021 Km.

I just drove through Las Vegas on my way to Kingman, Arizona. Everyone is a bit pissed as the casinos are charging anywhere from $40-$75 to park in the garages and lots. Alot of stuff will be dhut down and the locals are not happy this race was not held in the NASCAR oval north of downtown!

We shall see who figures this one out on the week-end as everyone will have nearly a equal chance for the win!

While they are making a big deal about lack of grip.
I think it will make the race interesting. Lets see how drivers drive when they have to let off the gas to complete corners. See who can push it without overdoing it.
I might find this race refreshing.

Your Lions are doing quite well obxyankee. Looks like the Lions got a pretty good deal with trading for Goff and getting GM Brad Holmes from the Rams. Good to see them leading the NFC North instead of always being in the cellar!!

As the 2023 F-1 season approaches its end, Andretti continues to push his envelope to field a Cadillac F-1 car for next season. Cadillac is building its own engines and will only deal with Andretti Global as the dog and pony show known as the F-1 competition committee is beginning to allow more leniency to Andretti Global as the next team they are considering to be certified for F-1 competition and allowing the Cadillac alliance in to F-1.

Apparently Toto Wolff is restricting anyone associated with the Mercs from entering the casinos this weekend in Las Vegas. Geez, what the hell is this guy doing by this restriction on his teams when he is leaving at the end of the season and the Mercs will not go much further than Hamilton's Third place finish in the points?. Some dudes are just addicted to power and control and this douchebag is one of them.

It will be difficult to not enter the casinos when the hotel is part of the casino

Maybe one of the reasons the Merc cars still aren't right is the mega maniacal Wolff spending too much time in micromanaging the team instead of finding a reason why the new livery cars are still not right nearly an entire season later!!

Where did you hear he was leaving the team? That is news to me.

And this on TV will be as close as I ever get to a hole like Vegas.

Now that Frank S has passed and Tony Bennett too, there is nothing I'd want to do there. Let alone gamble.

It was rumored earlier in the season that Wolff was leaving Mercedes at the end of 2023 season, but then recently, he signed a three-year extension. So that rumor is dead.

Wasn't that just speculation when he was in on purchasing Man United?

Yeah. There was a lot of speculation and rumors and Toto stayed mute. So, it is what it is!

This Las Vegas race is fast becoming another dog and pony show that Verstappen has just come out with a wad of criticism. Along with alot of the locals bitching-up a storm about alot of what is going on, the governing body for F-1 looks like a bunch of Keystone cops once again.

The governing body of F-1 is being exposed by Mario Andretti and others on the jackass behavior they are treating Andretti Global with and the proposed acceptance by F-1 of a new manufacturer in Cadillac. Interesting read and the truth will eventually prevail, I believe.

LeClerc leads the field in FP-2 but Sainz receives a 10-place grid deduction for some silly infraction.

I watched some kind of Q & A with Ferrari's Chief. He was rightfully pissed about the penalty. The track f'd up and caused the damage to the car, it should not be Ferrari having to pay a penalty

This whole Grand Prix has been a cluster fuck so far. Nothing to watch yesterday. For people at home or the fans in attendance. Ridiculous. P2 was rescheduled so of course anything that a PVR recording was working from would have no clue. So P2 runs at three in the fucking morning and nobody’s there to watch it. So fucking stupid. And then they give Sainz a penalty for absolutely nothing he did. Nonsense. Second time this year Sainz has been fucked by stupid penalties.
