More humor possible later, as Vinnie emerges from the trash can to stifle the Mets tonight with 8Ks and only a solo homer. Of course, Phils bust out and take the game 3-2. Hey, it can happen!
do you only pop up for Velasquez starts?i'd like to see velasquez throw some strikes for a change.
did you see jvett say that Rupp and Knapp will combine for 30 homers this year?would have been nice to have a couple legit prospects instead of this. oh well. we can discuss how great double V and rupp are all season long.

Oh yeah, I lit his ass up over that and he was just standing around like a kid with Down Syndrome with his mouth open. Fucking ridiculous
i remember being told "we don't know how alfaro will play out, so we have to keep rupp instead of trading him."
rupp is a soon to be 29 year old, struggling, career backup at best. alfaro has an ops over 1.000 at AAA so far, after putting up a .783 ops at AA last year.
why can't fans just use common sense? hope the fuckers are enjoying velasquez. specifically said guy can't pitch more than 5 innings per game, and what happens when he starts getting lit up? now we see what happens.
both are worth shit now. velasquez is a "project" at best as a starter. he needs to be sent to the pen NOW to work on becoming the closer. if lucky, they could pull another giles move.
Come on man, are you actually suggesting there was a time when they could have gotten something for Rupp? I think he's a decent catcher and he's fine until someone better comes up but I don't think teams were ever inquiring about him

Yeah, Rupp would have been harder (maybe this last offseason- he did have a "decent" season last year offensively if you like counting numbers), but Velasquez would have been too easy. Still is probably easy, but his stock will be lower.Come on man, are you actually suggesting there was a time when they could have gotten something for Rupp?
