Retro, in dire circumstances, I think teams should be allowed to make emergency pre-September callups with an expanded roster.

Something jvett. This is horrible. Of course you know Boobens will find some older player to sign that isn't even in the farm system. Some dumpster-diving, cast-off from another team or teams.

And there is the real Howard. Standing there watching a strike and he strikes out again to go ofer for the night.

I still hate Ryno's lineups. Why is Ruiz batting 8th? He should be no lower than 6th.

There is no rhyme or reason to Sandberg's lineups. Revere is a better lead-off hitter than Rollins but Ruiz should not be batting 8th. I have given up trying to figure out what the hell Sandberg is trying to accomplish with his lineups. It is another factor that is contributing to this awful offense. WE have reached our game run total so I suppose its time to go home.

Asche has another great defensive play with that catch and pitch to first to get Pujols.

At least we get to see high points like that play just made by Asche on the hot grounder, and prior to that, Giles striking out slugger Trout.

If we would just get rid of the non-producing guys that just kill us night in and night out like KK, Burnett, Retardo, and Howard and play guys like Ruf and bring guys like Franco, Fox, and Nola up we would be further ahead than have this garabage be out there every night.

Yea jvett, if we'd just get rid of the people that are killing us and continue to bring in younger, new blood we would have players develop like Asche and Ruf and we'd see great plays like Asche has been routinely doing over the last 10 games or so.

Sizemore gets a ball to hide and makes it a triple. We should get one run back right here.

Dom Brown hits a RBI and the game is down to one run. Ruiz is up.

Good job Carlos. Tying run is on and Asche has to get his bats back.

I agree except for Fox - the 32 year old guy is plain bad, cannot hit ml pitching, but hits .290 in the minors. Howard should at least be dropped in the lineup. Maybe he'd thrive at 7 or 8. The contract will always be a problem but I don't see how the Phillies can just ignore this in 2015. Both Howard and Brown are killing the Phillies.

Fox is the guy Boobens will call up in September jvett, you watch. If the guy can't hit, he'll be the one that numbnuts calls up because he has the one characteristic Boobens gets a stiffy for. He's 32-he's an old guy. Come on up!!

Like I have stated before. The Phils will reach 70 losses before they get to 60 wins. Tomorrow they are off and they go to San Fran for a three-game series beginning Friday. What a mess this ballclub is!

We are 53-68 with 41 games left.

Let's see, 28 wins and we're even. 28-13. What a mean task. 22 losses brings the team to 90. 19-22. That seems a little more likely and probably the best they'll be able to do with "tryouts" in September. A 72-90 season or worse. Pathetic.
