Yea I agree jvett. Mackinin has tapped into something that Sandberg either couldn't or didn't no how to motivate this group of players. He is managing the talent he has pretty well and is getting the wins through decent defense, emerging pitching, and some really on fire bats since the all-star break. Plus, his young core of players like Herrera, Hernandez, Rupp, Franco, and Galvis are really coming together on a number of levels. This is beginning to develop like we all wanted a couple of years ago.
