McKannin should know that strategy doesn't work with a bad team. But why take Buchanan out after 5 anyway? Wasn't the problem that starters couldn't go 6 or more and we don't want the BP overworked?

They should keep Revere at leadoff and Hernandez second since he's the best bunter on the team. They should stop giving Revere days off. April-4, May-2, June-4, July-6 (4 for hamy). He always hits well over .300 in the summer. I hope Franco isn't going into a Dom Brown phase. The guy batting third must hit.

Phils monthly totals: april 8-15, may 11-18, june 8-19, july 2-9. Looks like maybe 6 wins in July!

Revere, Blanco, Galvis, Hernandez are the most consistent hitters. Asche, Rupp, and Ruf are next. Franco is somewhere here right now as he has become streaky. Brown, Howard, and Ruiz are occasional. Everyone else like Francoeur-tits-on-a-bull category.

The Phils would win more games with Blanco in Howard's clean up spot. Though it wouldn't be fair to treat a billionaire like that.

I agree jvett. Blanco had a helluva game last evening in the loss and he like Revere should be playing nearly every game.
