ESPN's John Keim considers Samaje Perine the "odd man out" in the Redskins' backfield.

Perine and Rob Kelley are likely competing for one spot. The Redskins plan to keep four running backs, but want Byron Marshall or Kapri Bibbs as insurance for Chris Thompson. Perine has more trade value than Kelley, so it's possible he'll be moved before final cuts.

This would be interesting to me. a 4th round pick and willing to give up on him? What would his trade value be? Kelley must be having an outstanding camp to even consider this. I understand us keeping Marshall.

I really do not like Kelley he is slow has no burst and just isn't quick enough to get to the hole the line makes for him

What the hell is this infatuation with Rob Kelly....has Gruden actually seen this guy play? but again he did the same thing with Ryan Grant for four years. Perine hasn't hit his ceiling yet in my opinion but hey, If the coaches like Kelly more than so be it. But this is a head scratcher for me

fumbles people , perine had a few costly ones and as with matt jones you can be shown the door for that .

personally i like perines upside more but kelly can play FB too so versatility can play a role

When a 300+ pound OT out performs him in a drill, it’s reasonable to think he might just be done and worn out. Along with his play last year I think he may be done
