A few weeks ago, I was at 20 percent. Now I am at 50 percent.
I won't get into my reasoning yet. Just curious what you believe are the chances.

20%. If he leaves ... I hope it is not Snyder and/or Allen's doings.

35%. He coached a terrible game yesterday and he just gave up at the end. That can't sit well with Dan and Bruce. Honestly, I like the guy but he looks completely lost right now.

He is not going anywhere unless asked to leave. Who knows at this point but as it stands now, his team has zero discipline, cannot execute on either side of the ball and aside of Way, we still have huge issues on ST. Jim Harbaugh anyone?

The right move in this case is to fire Bruce Allen, then hire a new GM and give that GM the complete control to hire his own coaching staff. That way when he shitcans Gruden and that bum Haslett, it will be on the new GM, and not look like its all Danny being impetuous. Hopefully the new GM would come from a place that has won, and he can bring some of his young talent with him to fill out a new coaching staff.

Sadly, this will most likely not happen.

As for Gruden, he sucks. If he stays or goes, but unless we get a new GM, it won't matter.

NBC Washington's Dianna Marie Russini reports the Redskins have informed HC Jay Gruden that he'll return to coach the team in 2015.
Russini is as plugged in as it gets when it's all things Redskins. If true, it would seem the Redskins will part ways with Robert Griffin III if we're to believe reports that Gruden can't work with RGIII. Owner Dan Snyder inked Gruden to a five-year contract when he hired him, so he's not going to eat four years of money to send Gruden on his way. It'll be interesting to see where Gruden goes at quarterback. The Redskins are currently slated to pick fifth overall in the 2015 draft.

Zero percent chance that he walks, about a 30-40 percent chance that he's dismissed. I do totally agree with KSD's post above.

Most of us believe that if you fired Gruden after one year it is a terrible message to the world So how would firing Bruce after only one year in control send a different message? Don't get me wrong, I've been pretty vocal in wanting a new guy in place, but Snyder is once again painted in a corner.

Dean: How do you know Haz is gone? Sounds like you've got a source, or maybe just a wish?

I certainly hope that you are not hinting that the Redskins should draft a QB with that pick. If they did it would rate right up there with one of the stupidest moves by this organization (& yes there are many).

First of all - how do you know that Gruden can't work well with RG3? I believe that Gruden kind of put RG3 in his place several weeks ago & I really have not seen much bad blood between the two since that day. As many have suggested - why not simply leave RG3 on the roster & give him a chance to work with coaches & see if he improves come training camp? They don't have a lot of money to lose at this pt so why not?

Actually - give all three QBs a chance since the $$ impact is minimal & this team really needs to focus on other needs. If they all fall short - big deal - you pickup another QB during the next offseason. Not sure why the team would do it any other way. If they like they can certainly pickup a QB later in the draft, but there is no reason to do this in the first few rounds.

Pretty much everyone here said the same thing last year so I would not be totally shocked if this does not happen (I would be pissed). Nothing this organization does at this time would shock me.

There is no way Haz survives. I don't know why people wouldnt want Winston. Gruden already admitted that he cant work with RG3. He doesn't have the necessary traits to be a pocket passer. RG3 does not fit this offense. I believe RG3 is in to build up trade value. RG3 will never last a whole season the way he plays so why go with him as your franchise QB?

Its time to move on guys. You either go with Cousins or you take Winston without trading up for him.

Geez, it's different because you fire Bruce Allen the GM, not Bruce Allen the team specialist in all matters relating to contracts and cap management.
One of the big reasons to remove that title from him is because in the 8 years prior to this last one he, for whatever reasons ceded the responsibilities associated with the job. No respectable GM does this and still calls himself a GM, unless he too saw a opportunity to get paid for doing nothing! (See: Albert Haynesworth)

If memory serves me correctly, and I am pretty sure it does........

Shannahan was hired first.....As the Head Honcho in all things team related......He then turned around and hired Allen.....so......it wasn't that Allen gave up power.....Allen came in to be the GM...(cap manager..Mouth piece....PR piece ) for Shannahan.......He then took over the "responsabilities" of GM, once Shanny was Shit Canned!!!!

No, Allen was hired first. A few months later Shanahan was hired. As part of his agreement, he demanded total control of football operations, including talent acquisition. Shanahan never reported to Allen. They were both direct reports to Dan. So to say that Allen ceded his responsibility to his employee is not accurate. Allen's job was, as you point out, contracts, cap, and PR. He was also hired to help find the next HC.

This is correct. Ceratto was fired/resigned while the season was still going on (December 17).... BA was hired shortly after (same day basically) and three weeks later MS came on board (Jan 5th).
