Pens fire Bylsma, hire Rutherford as GM

Pittsburgh Penguins fire coach Dan Bylsma, hire GM Jim Rutherford - ESPN

Not sure how I feel about Rutherford, but I'm glad we're going in a new direction as far as coaching is concerned. I think Dan Bylsma is a good coach, but his shelf life with the Pens was up. Hope we hire John Hynes (coach of our AHL affiliate) to take his place.

I'm guessing Rutherford already has someone in mind. Hence Bylsma's dismissal coming right away. The coaching announcement will most likely come Monday. No game that day so they'll have all the attention.
