well the defense was not good last night (and don't give me this, well they only gave up FGs) nonsense. they were simply not good last night and got bailed out.
A win is a win but it was a very ugly and sloppy win. All 3 phases really do need more work!

An ugly win, but that still counts. Look, Ivory is a very good RB, and the Jets' o-line is not bad. Combine that with no Mayo and only a few days to adjust, and I can't say that it's a surprise the Jets ran like they did.
That being said, the D has some flaws. Revis is simply not the player he once was, and he may never be that again. Still a very good DB, but not a shut-down corner. Wilfork is also not the run-stopper he once was. Again, still a good, but not dominant, player.
However, in today's NFL, it's not about being dominant team from September through January. It's about getting on a roll at the right time.
