It's been a great winter on the coast (lots of sunshine and really not that much rain). Pretty warm as well.

Whichever had to happen to mean 6 more weeks of winter. That's what the little fucker did.

But my question is whether or not it's six weeks of actual winter, or six more weeks of what we've had. 62 today. Since Thanksgiving's snow, we've had 3 total inches. And less than 48 consecutive hours of below freezing temps.

Anybody know how this tradition got started anyway? What kind of opiates were the people who came up with it on that they decided a large rat was clairvoyant?
