They're also apparently scheduled to be at Green Bay on Thanksgiving night.

AKA… Two games scheduled, and they're 0-2.

Yes, but unfortunately… I believe it was Woodson who said; "Same old Jay".

Bright side for Jay, only two scheduled prime time games, well until they start flexing sunday nights, but then maybe SF and Denver, dont know what the rest of the league looks like.

Fox has 5 months to prepare for the packers. Packers can be looking ahead, their week 2 is Seattle. Hope they play the starters a little more in preseason to be prepared, no more of this three and out and sit on the sidelines. Pretty sure Fox played Payton alot to get sharp.

I'll be the only Bears fan at the Seattle game, getting my highly hopped microbrew diluted in the rain.

Brutal first 6 games, well 5, one of them shouldn't be an issue.

it's going to be a tough opening 4 weeks. I fear that a 1-3 start... could force some Fans over the edge and fire and brimstone will rain down with heaps and heaps of pissed off Grabowski's. The good thing is they do have (ON PAPER) a decent chance to come together later in the season. I'm hopeful... but fearing the worse (from fans)

Erm, what am I missing? Hopefully a new coach institutes a decent Defense but I truly don't understand what your "on paper" comment means? Does it mean you like the switch to 3-4 with the personnel the Bears have? You like Jay Cutler and the Offense now that the Bears have rid themselves of that cancer Marshall? You like the new coaches so far? I don't get the comment.

On Paper: 5+ months before the season starts- it looks like the Chicago Bears have a better chance to win more games later in the season vs early in the season based on who they are playing.
The projection of "Weak" and "Good" teams based on last years performances.
I say "On Paper" because we all know that it really doesn't mean ANYTHING in late April. We don't know who is going to be good by December, who's injured, what rookies/players have career years... We don't know.
Many thought at this time last year, the Bears were a playoff contender- they weren't. Things change quickly in the NFL. WE have NO idea what will happen this far out.
ON Paper.

We have no idea what the 3-4 change will be. No idea what the draft/free agents we just signed will do... no idea what other teams choices and performances and injuries will be.
Aaron Rodgers tears his ACL... MUCH different NFC North.
Tom Brady loses 2 Olineman... Different outcomes are more possible.
Bears draft top performing Rookie WR...instead of tweener OSL/DE hybrid...who knows what happens.
Brandon Marshall playing in NY... frees up real leadership in Bears LR and team comes together under Fox?
Jay Cutler throws for 2 TD's a game average and cuts INT's in half... due to Gase.
Jay Cutler tears ACL in first week and Fans bitch and complain for 15 weeks about shitty QB Play... (well that's a given no matter who plays QB in Chicago)
We don't know what's going to happen.

You mean Jay is gonna text everybody instead of calling out shitty play in the locker room?

Still dont understand why the one veteran guy that called out poor effort is the bad guy when captains titles came with your juice box before the game. Oh, thats right, he flew to new york on his days off.....

which do you fear more? Fans complaining about bad play, or the actual bad play?

I believe most fans have very low expectations for the coming season. I for one would be fine with the worst record in the league. But we'll go 8-8 and mis the playoffs and mis drafting a top QB. I see a much improved def and a coach like Fox running much more, thus making Jay better. We'll be a middle of the road team. Which sucks IMO.

Jay played his best on primetime games virtually his entire time here… Especially MNF.
