Ftr: I don't care about sweeps, I'm more concerned with winning as many series' as we can this season.
Taking 2 of 3, or 3 of 4, or even splitting a 4 game series from month to month, and we'll be good.
So far we've played 3, and won them all.
LGM!!
Edit: It might be time to start thinking about pitching inside to harper from now on.
Mets grab a 6-5 lead in the 12th on a Yo Baby Yo rbi single.
Lagares lead off the inning with a PH single, got sac bunted over to 2nd.. then the Nats IBB'd Conforto to pitch to Cespedes.
Mets: RHP Noah Syndergaard (1-0, 5.40 ERA) starts when the Mets open a series Monday in Miami. He is 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA in five career starts versus the Marlins, who will start RHP Jose Urena (0-1, 4.91).
TRAINER'S ROOM:
Mets: LHP Jason Vargas (broken right hand) threw a simulated game in Florida on Saturday. "He did great. Got up and down six times," manager Mickey Callaway said. "He is progressing nicely." ... Zack Wheeler will be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to start Wednesday's game against Miami.
Lugo looks outstanding out of the pen. Wish Harvey could start stretching starts to 6 innings, I would take 6 innings, 4 runs if he could give that to us every time.
Just stay healthy. A healthy Mets team is a playoff team. Great getting a sweep against the Nats this early on.
Kind of a tight game going on in Miami.
Mets had a 3-0 lead heading to the bottom of the 5th, but the Fish have clawed back, scoring 1 in the 5th & another in the 6th.
Mets lead 3-2 in the 7th.
Thor might be done for the night.
He's due up 3rd in the inning.
