Since it doesn't look like the Pirates will take the division, I just wanted to say congrats on the playoff win and good luck in your series with the Cards.

Jake is filthy right now, but so is Cole. I would consider throwing Hendricks and Hammel in the second game of the series. Two games in a row Hendricks has been great. one hitter last outing, 2 hits 9 k's thru 6 yesterday. They speak of these bullpen starts with Wood and Cahill, why not Hendricks and Hammel?

To me it all depends if Hurdle decides to line up Cole for the play in game and just hang on to home field. Cubs still have a shot to get that game at home, but Maddon is managing like its spring training, having Bryant playing 4 positions yesterday. I would think Theo wants that revenue for Oct 7.
