Then he should pray to these hockey gods because he keeps getting screwed this season. One thing bad bounce but that was just a brutal team deflating goal.

They were saying that Schneider could tie Marty's Devils record for consecutive starts (19) with his next start. Does this speak for Schneider's durability/endurance, lack of the Devils' depth at goaltending, or both?

Is it just me or does PDB's insistence on starting Cory every game lead you to believe he thinks he is on the hot seat?

Positive notes:

Cory doesn't seem to be letting in nearly as many flukes. The PK is improving. Larsson is finally looking like a real player. Gomez played better than expected. We at least controlled play against the Pens as opposed to just floating around out there. I'm looking for any positives right now.

If they play like that, I don't mind the loss as much. You are right on Gomez and Larsson. Gomez hasn't played a game since preseason and didn't look rusty.
Cory is not the reason this team has lost the past few games which is good.

Think it was in the first period. That Brunner takeaway and breakaway where he hit the post. If that went in, that would have boosted the team's confidence a lot more and I think they might have pulled a way to get a point or win.

On a positive note, if we keep sucking this badly, we'll get one of McEichel.

All of these injuries may be a blessing in disguise. It forces the other guys to step up, similar to when Marty got hurt a few years back and the team collectively stepped up their games to compensate. From the highlights I saw Henrique seemed to be all over the ice.

I watched the game and they played very well. Being his injury depleted, it was a well deserved 2 points. I thought they played well in Pitt too.
Only negative from last night was that shorthanded goal, but Toronto is a good team.
