The Sixers have 4 2nd round picks and were probably just looking to punt one to next year.
Typically a team would not trade for a pick at that point in the draft the day before. Typically a team would want to see who is available when that pick comes up on the board and would look to make a deal for the pick knowing someone they are interested in is there for the taking. Remember when the Lakers traded for the right’s to Jordan Clarkson with the Wizards? They did that right when the pick was made, not the day before.
Doncic is going to be amazing...he has it all. He really basically is a rich mans ricky rubio.....the kid has great size, great vision, great athleticism, is a big time competitor ....id take him 1 and not think twice
25, can't risk another team taking him at the start of round 2.
this is probably divac realizing he is an idiot saying he is not interested in doncic before basically and trying to leverage teams to go up to 2 - since everyone is trying to go up to 3 to get him.
totally disagreeHe's closer to prime Hedo Turkoglu than Rubio. Rubio came into the league not being able to shoot, he's small, and he's a phenomenal passer. Doncic isn't an amazing athlete either; he's not going to wow you with a crazy vert, speed, or agility. He IS a proven package (at 19) of a SF sized passer/shooter/scorer.
i think the price of dumping 38M in bad money is more than 2 2nd ronders...Agreed there’s another move coming. Trading up into round 1 with both 2nds and using both 2nds to dump deng would make some sense.
totally disagree
turkoglu was no a ball handler --- Doncic is basicallya 6' 8" point guard--- i think thats a terrible comparison

I don't usually pay much attention to this, but I was curious about Jaren Jackson. Tried watching a couple of those draft shows, and they all agree that he's a sure fire top 5 pick and then move on to in depth stories about everyone else in the top 10. They almost literally said; Bagley, Bamba, and Jsckson could go in any order, but probably all three back to back to back. So let's talk about Bagley for 5 minutes and then Bamba for 10, and then we'll move on to the next tier of guys.
Is there just kind of a consensus about him or something and no need to discuss him?

rubio is 6' 4" thats hardly small.and Rubio was small and couldn't shoot - worse comparison
