Looks like I may have discovered that NY writers source? Minus Darnold who they have a little lower.I thought this would provide an interesting discussion. Here's the latest odds for players who are in the running to be OROTY. Pretty stout list to choose from if you ask me.
Saquon Barkley 3-2
Baker Mayfield 11-4
Josh Allen 8-1
Josh Rosen 10-1
Sam Darnold 12-1
Rashard Penny 14-1
Derrius Guice 18-1
Lamar Jackson 20-1
Ronald Jones 30-1
Sony Michel 30-1
DJ Moore 33-1
Calvin Ridley 40-1
Me personally I'm going with the no brainer pick. Saquon Barkley will indeed light it up this season for the Giants.
tough choice. If you have a good feeling about one of the QBs being a week 1 starter I guess that could be the bet. Otherwise I guess I like the odds of the WRs
u can use those odds to buy an o lineOther than Darnold Im not sure that these QB's will be starting to open the season..
Barkley and Penny will both get a lot of touches and both are capable of having huge seasons
I would have to go with Penny with those 14-1 odds
I think out of that list, I like Ronald Jones the best. I'm pretty sure he is expected to be healthy to start the season and I think he will get every chance to be the man in Tampa. Him or one of the WRs would get my money.Where did you get these odds? If I could get 30-1 in Vegas for Michel I'd throw $50 on him.
Just to be clear I wasn't super happy with this pick on draft day. I felt NE had bigger holes to fill. But after the draft the pundits have helped me warm up to this pick. Regardless of how well he does the chances of him getting OROY is slim on that NE offense. He just won't get enough touches. But stranger things have happened and I'd take those odds for a nice pay day.
Having said that Barkley likely gets OROY. That kid can do it all.
Thanks, that's why I asked the question.
Those are some crazy odds....They left out the best TE in the draft Hayden Hurst on a team that loves to throw to the TE....He could very well win it but I wouldn't be shocked if DJ Moore, Guice or Ridley end up with it...
Jackson ain't got a shot, and for the record, I hate that pick.....
In the end, the player has to fit the system and adapt to the speed of the pros, so it's all a roll of the dice at this point.....
Chances of a TE ever winning that award are slim to none.Hayden Hurst would be the first TE to ever win the award. I also didn't have him as the best TE in the draft. More like 3rd or 4th but he should get plenty of opportunities to be thrown to. I just doubt that he does much to actually earn the award.
Chances of a TE ever winning that award are slim to none.
Given the weapons around him and the offensive scheme, I gotta go with Rosen.
