I am still trying to figure out why people are upset that Washington didn't draft Gonzalez. He played 4 games last year. Maybe Gonzalez proves to be better long term but what he has done in his first year isn't anything to crow about.

We passed on o/lineman with either the stick figure pick or the Martin pick . That is my issue and to add to it other rookie CBs including Gonzo performed better ( albeit lesser time )

If this regime has one vulnerable area is they didn’t hit o/line like they should have . I would say wr as well

Before his injury he looked promising, and played very well. If he had the same exact fate in DC, I'd still be comfortable starting him outside this year. I thought Forbers Jr was going to be the DeVonta Smith of CBs. I'm extremely doubtful now. The kid's confidence is ruined and if he gets beaten out in competition, he is a complete flop by the last regime. There's a laudry list of prospects that would have been a better pick

We have done this several times my friend. Gonzo did not do anything more than Forbes. Others did, I agree.

Although Martin might end up being a good pick I wanted OLine too. Our new FO took more DBs than OL as well. DQ wants very specific type players. He'll find a couple whether Forbes or Martin are the guys are not. I have an entire shed of crow ready to eat if need be. I don't really care who starts as long as they play the way Quinn wants them to. You have to have offense but my love is the defensive side of the ball.

Poor coaching for the entire team the last couple of years. The new coaches will build him back up. I tend not to give up on guys after one year. You have to pay him or eat the money.

I just don't understand people blowing up Gonzalez when he has done nothing so far.
