The dog days of August have not been kind to the orange & blue crew so far.

Perhaps a good old fashioned voodoo ritual during pregames would be in order to rid them of the negative forces that have suddenly taken hold? :noidea: (I'm kidding of course) :D

Really good article...and lots to dissect, but pretty interesting....

3 lineup moves I'd like to see Rojas make to get the offense rolling again like they were not all that long ago.

Move Pete out of the 2 hole, down 2 spots to hit cleanup.
Bring Baez up 2 slots to bat 2nd..and go back to the pitcher batting 8th again.

It's worth a try...and would definitely work imho.

Too (or 3) little too late.
Mets lose again.
Slide continues.
Final: 5-3

UP NEXT......( our old buddy looks to dig the knife in a little deeper )

Mets RHP Taijuan Walker (7-6, 3.86 ERA) will try to help stave off a sweep as he faces (ex Mets) Phillies RHP Zack Wheeler (9-6, 2.57) in the series finale Sunday.

Tail spinning into a free fall as the injuries continue.
When would be a good time to call for Rojas' ouster now?
Or is it just gonna be more of the same old business as usual stance?
To be fair..I also wanted him gone after the end of last season too, and again before this one began.
Can't keep using the injury excuse for the lack of run production, poor defense, and subpar pitching.

And just as I predicted/feared..we've dropped from 1st place to 3rd...and there's still no end in sight.

Up Next:
Mets have Monday off...(so at least they won't lose...smh/lol)
RHP Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 3.24) starts for the Mets when they open a three-game series against Washington on Tuesday night in New York. The Nationals haven't announced their starter.

Just win baseball games. Nobody cares, we don't want to hear about effort, just win games.
