If I am Dan, I look at the scouting department first, hire a real GM, and then evaluate all the penalties, blowouts, how Gruden handled the qb's this year, the onside kicks and fake extra points that took place and think long and hard about building a massive oline, hiring Bevell and pound the ball next year.

What I have heard is that AJ Smith has been at Redskins park every day for the last few months. He used to only be around a couple times a month. Speculation is that he will take over as GM and Bruce does the Contracts and Football Operations. But the real problem must be in our scouting dept. We have the smallest scouting dept in the league (of course since we haven't had any draft pics for years, maybe we didn't need a large scouting group). We either can't judge talent or we can't develop it. We just have way too many misses on draft picks.
