My wife asked me if AM34 would want to play for Arizona after this last year of his contract. My response was "what makes you think the Coyotes will be there in a year?"

The Arizona Coyotes face a potential turning point in their tumultuous history when the votes for a proposed new arena complex are counted Tuesday by Tempe city council.

Simply put, if enough "yes" votes come in, then Bluebird Development — a team-affiliated group — will start developing the land in Tempe, promising the Coyotes something they've never had since relocating to Arizona: their own arena.

And if the proposals don't pass? Well ...

Voters appear to overwhelmingly say fuck off to the Yotes Tempe project. Gary takes another loss.

These are very important times and Surreys great leaders both past and present must let bygones be bygones and come together to build that 60000 seat arena!!!

I will never understand this whole mess. Having just watched what Seattle had to do to get a team here. The pain of watching for years every time there was hope things just couldn’t get worked out with an arena. Until the Seattle hockey group came through and committed, not trying to tie the NBA into the whole thing and getting shit done.

Then the year after our inaugural season the Coyotes are okayed to move into a college arena that holds a little more than half of what our WHL team’s little arena can accommodate…

 :wtf:

Don’t think the Canucks would go for Surrey, and who do you kick out of the Pacific?
Do Salt Lake and Houston even want teams?
I would laugh at Atlanta.
Maybe a deal in Arizona will come forward
