Hearing Flyers have contacted Montreal about PK Subban. Question is would MTL be willing to move him and for what package coming back?

Sean Couturier would likely be the piece going back to Montreal for Subban. Btw 2 other teams have contacted MTL about Subban.

I have struggled with the Douggie Hamilton vs. Couterier pick since it was made. I would definately want Hamilton over Subban and I want Couterier over Subban.

I thought I was the only one who remembered this. I mean hind sight is 20/20. At the time we had a healthy Pronger & Mez plus we had just moved Richards(who functioned as out shutdown C)& Carter so we need to re-stock our C's. I truly think Homer & Co made the right decision.

I question last years draft more of taking Laughton over Maata. At that point management should have realized Pronger was done in all likelihood, Timonen is approaching the end of his career & Mez was reconvering from big time surgery. Maata coudl have been Timonen's replacement but again hindsight is 20/20 & we all know the Flyers can't develop d-men worth a shit.

Sean Couturier is 19 years old. He is already a full time NHL player who plays both ends of the ice. He has the skill to become an ELITE player in the NHL.

I like Subban but in no way do the Flyers trade Couts

Sean couturier is the far superior player to both Hamilton and Subban. They are the position of need but if coots doesn't get mono he's the #1 overall pick in the draft. Wouldn't even think twice about straight up for either of those guys

I forgot he had mono and that was why he slipped so far. I do agree that he's the better pick over Hamilton, I was just trying to show part of what was probably going through mgmt's mind at the time leading up the draft.

Couturier shut down malkin in the playoffs the other two couldn't do that heck most players couldn't do that. Enough said...haha! But yes moving forward they need to find Timonen's replacement as he may not be here past this season.
