San Diego State went 9-3 this year, they had a dominant defense but a terrible offense held them back. They never lost by more than 6 points this year, but scored less than 20 in all 3 losses. They only scored more than 30 once and it was against New Mexico State. The most points they gave up this year was 23 in a 23-17 loss to Utah State.

Central Michigan went 1-11 last year, but under Jim McElwain of all coaches surged to an 8-5 record with a loss in the Mac Championship. The best season they've had in a long time. They nearly beat Miami Florida on the road this year in a 17-12 loss.

San Diego State opened up the game with a pick on a tipped pass and they scored a touchdown, not a great start for Central Michigan

Apparently DreamHouse Productions paid the bills, but had their name pulled from the title. LOL

In 2019, the bowl announced a sponsorship with DreamHouse Productions, a local film studio. However, in October 2019, the company was quietly dropped as sponsor, coinciding with investigations by a local sports website that alleged that DreamHouse Productions was tied to a scam artist and questioned the company's legitimacy
