We don't need Pitchford. Petteway can do it all by himself. :L

That clutch 3 by Pitchford late was huge.

Who in theee hell said that?

But seriously though.......Petteway was again the difference

Those threes were HUGE by Pitchford.....couple big free throws too...

But the guy who creates action towards the rim and hits huge shots off the dribble with the shot clock running down is the most important guy on thee floor everytime.

Not saying Petteway isn't the best player on the roster, but when the goal is to take him out of the game others need to step up.

Petteway - 17 pts

Pitrchford - 15 pts

If pitchford doesn't step up today it's a different outcome.

Here's the thing about Pitchford though......if his game is gonna be shooting 3's from the top of the key then he's gonna have to be on the mark more often like he was today.

Otherwise he is a 6'10" waste of talent and time.

He needs to figure out how to be physical and play inside.

I've been saying that for weeks. Nebraska is not a good team in the paint. They won't be a complete team until they improve that.

If they are shooting cold from outside the paint they are finished in ugly fashion a la Michigan.

Missed the 1st half, didn't look like I missed much though.

It gets really frustrating watching this team. 4/10 from the line in the second half. The 4 offensive possessions we had during the NW 8 point run were a comedy of bad decisions. Look, I'm happy we won but Jesus Fucking Christ. It seems like them boys can make things much easier on themselves and my blood pressure.

Also, we need to bring back milk cartons so we can put Leslee's picture up.

We won a road game though. Got three home games wrapped around a trip to east Lansing coming up, time to make up some ground.

Yeah. They're growing up and getting better at facing adversity than they've been. But they won't be at the next level until they can put a team like NW away when up 8 pts w/ 5 minutes to play. They need to stay in the game mentally by taking smart shots, hitting the bonuses, and not turning it over.

Was critical of Pitchford earlier in season for his lax defense and rebounding. If you've watched closely he's much, much more physical now than he was early in the season.

You can tell he's making an effort in this regard, and I like it.

Huskers will be favored at home against Illinois. I wonder how they'll handle that?

I do agree that Indiana and Michigan State on the road are losses, but I really think Wisconsin at home is closer to a coin flip.

I've watched them play many times this year and they really don't match up that great against us in my opinion compared to other teams.

They are not as good as people think.

If we win our next 3 games at home over Illinois, Penn State, and Purdue (very possible) we will be 7-7 assuming an obvious loss at Michigan State in that span.

7-7 heading into the final stretch would be incredible.....especially considering we started out 1-5.

Also, we are 1 game back from being tied for 4th in the conference.

That is how even this conference is.

I have us at about a 40-45% chance of winning that game in Lincoln.

Ken Pomeroy has us at 38% chance.
