Essentially, it's what, a max of eight games to win it? Why not? Makes things a little more interesting.

Although I do have to say, I hope they don't split the groups up by Conference. Just mix them all together and pick them at random.

That's exactly what it is. Pool will be random so I guess some teams from east and west may be in the same group.

Yeah I hated it at first but when I found out there was only 1 game added to the season and that's only for the 2 finalist, it stopped bothering me.

Not like teams are going to treat it like a NBA playoffs game and play they top guys 43 minutes for a group play in-season tournament game in late November

lol no for the 50000 time, there are no changes to the regular season schedule for the most part. Schedule will be released with 80 games instead of 82 ( see tweet i posted earlier) with the final 2 to be released at a later time

The only teams who are missing a home game are the final 4. If you make the finals of this then you probably lose out on 1 home & 1 true road game. Eliminated in the semi finals and you may not even lose out on a home game. Might be a road game you miss out on

Lol its not even a mid season tournament. It will be completed before teams likely get through a quarter of their games.
